Review by hotel critic
Staying at Ai Quarti Sottani in Matera was a memorable family experience, and I recommend it for those traveling with kids. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mimo, the owner, who shared helpful tips about exploring the city and getting around-just what busy families need! The location of the hotel truly made our trip easy. We could venture out and explore the fascinating Sassi right from our doorstep. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, which is essential when you're traveling with children. My little ones loved the unique cave-like feel of the accommodations-it sparked their imagination! The on-site terrace bar/restaurant offered delightful meals at fair prices, with stunning views that allowed us to unwind after a fun-filled day. Plus, having reliable Wi-Fi even in a cave was a bonus, keeping everyone connected. In short, Ai Quarti Sottani provided an excellent base to enjoy all that Matera has to offer while ensuring a family-friendly atmosphere. If you're planning a family trip, consider this lovely spot!
